I put the rear bumper on yesterday I think I may need to move the shackles forward one hole to get a better angle and lower the rear but I'll know for sure in a little while.

wonder if it would be better to move the mount location instead of the shackle location..

if you move the shackle forward i would be worried about the shackle hitting the mount on compression..

You are correct it's the better way to go, I'm going to move the mount location may have to nip the wrap around bumper support and keep the shackle in the center/neutral hole. I can go to the forward hole on the shackle it will clear but it seems like staying in the center is a better spot to be. The paint I used did not like the primer so I have to pull and re-paint them anyways.

I finished moving the hangers to the rear hole furthest position forward on the frame and left the shackle in the center hole.

    On the bumpstop

Different spot, where I lifted the wheel stuffed into the bump and some negative arch in the spring.

I like it, it definitely gave it a lot more articulation the ride is good and I still have more adjustments I can make if needed. I have the new towers from Jerry to re-locate the shocks just waiting for the shocks to show up.

You've been busy! All I did was put my factory wheels and tiny tires on! Lol. Bought some 285/70R17's. Did you want those FJC alloys? I have a set of FJC alloys and steels now. So I just have to decide which wheels to mount the tires to. Lol.

I'm getting rid of my FJ steelies and 34's with my old suspension to a buddy with a DCLB, I think I will be able to stick with the swampers since we have a carpool set up in the winter. So I think I'm set for wheels until I change my mind and if I do I'll need a set of 16's.

Those dates seem a bit earlier than last year. I'm good after the 17th. Would love some more time to finish the truck, if you pick the middle dates I'll have about 3 days to get ready, if you go with the first set of dates I, and many other college goers would probably also be pushing it.

last year was the last weekend in may...we got lucky with the heat with it not turning on yet..a week or two after we left it got HOT!

so i'd like to have it before that for a better chance with the heat.

does seem like the first weekend in that set would be tight with college

I'm real happy with how the rear end works and feels at this point its almost done. Like you brought up earlier on the backspacing and towers the tire contacts the shock body as it starts into the bump I'm waiting for some 1" wheel spacers to show up to take care of it. It may have been avoided if we had moved the towers more forward on the frame but tried to go as vertical as possible and ended up with 6* forward from 90 and that seemed to fall in line/arc with the movement of everything together. Although I'm amazed at how easy it is to put the dakars into negative arch so that's got me wondering about new rear springs at some point.

The truck keeps throwing codes P0136 02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank I Sensor 2) and P0138 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank I Sensor 2) it seem to be one or the other never both at the same time.

The truck has 116K on it so I'm hoping its just a bad 02 sensor I noticed a hit in the mileage since the CEL starting showing up as well. I'm thinking I would need to replace the sensor even if I wanted to go with a simulator? and would a simulator even make sense considering the cat is still intact?
