    97 4runner limited, I am original owner. 275K on routine, recommended maint.. Timing, plugs, wires, filters, etc... have replaced u-joints, shocks, rotors, a couple water pumps over the years and some a/c parts. Keeps on truckin!

    That's my philosophy as well. People are so amazed at my 96 with over 260,000 miles and I tell em it's simple. Take care of it and treat it right. Don't drive like a dipshit asshole and it'll last:)

    I beleve the opposite i beat my tacoma, never fix it unless something is broken and drive "worse than a dipshit asshole" and my buddy babies his tacoma but everytime he tries to use his truck it breaks But different strokes for different folks i guess

    Timing belt and plugs at 199, 000
    Comp test at 325, 000 1lb less than factory all 6 cyl
    First clutch last weekend at (you ready......) 400,000
    Pulls tru rpms like new
    Ohh yeah still blow ice cold ac freezes you out on freeway

    Why do all 4Runners seem to get totaled before there prime?. Seen one today up by Auburn on my way to DG Machine. laid on it's side and it looked like 1 full revolution at least. Everyone made it out as per the hand held.

    Black Sand Pearl factory paint - flattened "au natural" by tree branches.
    My 3.4 has 320,000km on it but I wouldn't call it strong. Terrible maintenance from what I can tell. There is a visible pile of mud and sand and crap on top of each piston because the previous owner cut a big hole in the air box and went mudding with it. Also he buried it in a swamp up to it's roof and left it there for several days at one point. I found this all out after I bought it, from some guy that spotted me in a parking lot and was a previous owner from further back.

    Still works fine just underpowered and threatens to overheat sometimes. When I changed the spark plugs last year there was hardly anything left of the electrodes lol, still made no difference in mileage or power. Just keeps on going...

    I'm all about treating my truck good but I like to have fun with her too. I have a S/C and a lift ect for a reason. I'll continue to do scheduled maintenance and love my truck while I have her but we will damn sure have a lot of fun!!

    227,000 on my 2000. Where ever I go she goes...except the rabbit lane in the middle of the night on interstate... I tried to chase a Corvette, Audi, and Porsche, got up to about 90mph and the taco started to let me know she was not comfortable at those speeds...haha. so it was back to a steady 75.

    Here's my dads valve train at 368,xxx miles. We done a complete timing job as well as replaced the valve cover gaskets that are known for seeping oil. Wiped nothing down in this picture. Always had Castrol 5w-30 Synthetic every 5,000 miles. Still runs like brand new.

    Mines about to hit 160K. The last 2 years I've been running Mobil One HM full synthetic. It's sees 6-7K changes every 6 months. The valve train still looks new. Before that I've run Amsoil and Redline.
