problem replacing brake hose

    hey all,

    i've hit a snag replacing my brake hoses. i have separated the brake line from the brake hose, but i can't separate the brake hose from the bracket welded to the frame. anyone have a tip for me? :confused:

    There's a metal tab that needs to be pulled out. It's on the side where your paper towel is in your picture. Get a wrench on thing and pull sideways. It'll slide right off and free the line from the mount.

    I'll see if I can find a picture for you...

    If you're just doing the front then you'll be fine with one of the small bottles. The rears might take a little more -- there's a lot more line but the rear wheel cylinders hold less fluid than the front brake calipers. It might be a wash.

    I always have fluids laying around in quantity so I'm really not sure how much I used. It wasn't much.

    Okay...I'm planning on buying a midsize bottle of DOT4...cause I'm doing all 4 lines. And I'd rather not end up with fluids laying around...enuf of that as is...
