Thought I would start a build thread. I got this truck to mod and off road. Not my DD ..
The truck is a 2002 ext cab 4wd V6 M/T SR5 TRD
As it sits 12-2-14

As it sat the day I bought it in Feb 2013 bone stock other than some Rancho quick lifts up front.

First thing I did was upgrade the wheels and tires.

 

Looks good.... Any pics of the home made tire carrier?

 

Will post more later. Had to get back on the mods.

 

Added a shell and drove it that way for a while.

Did a few off road trips to big bear and sedona.

 

I see u have an escape hatch

 

Decided it was time to do some serious mods. So went with some Brute Force sliders and Hybrid front bumper. King extended C/O's OME Dakar leaf pack Camburg UCA and some 10" 5125 Bilstiens from Down South.

Liking this so far, pretty clean and functional. Where the extra plates on left and right side of the hybrid an option from bruteforce or did you add that yourself?

 

I added them. Billy will add them for an extra couple bucks. But I had lots of 3/16" plate so I did it myself. I think it makes the bumper look better.

 

Ya it really does! If I get a hybrid from him I'm def going to have him add those

 

Installed the Camburgs, kings. sliders and front Bumper. Got it aligned then checked the flex on the rear.

 

Installed a new Odyssey battery and made a hold down bracket. Also installed a Flowmaster 40.

 

Built a storage box behind the seat.






Not much into the white so I am going to spray the hatches with bed liner.

 

Moved the front turn signals to the driving light housing.

Have anymore pics of your bumper? Like it so much better with filler plates!

 

definitely digging your bumper. Did you do all the welding/fab yourself with the rear mounts etc. Looking good bud.


Gonna throw a winch in that bad boy? been debating if I should get one too.

Yes I did all the welding and fab for rear shock mounts. A winch is on the way.
