I'm pretty sure I could easily fit 18"s up front. :anonymous:

If I can fit them, is there any reason I shouldn't? :notsure:

I don't think you have a chance at fitting them unless you go thru the hood. An 18" coilover is pretty long, even compressed. Also consider your driveshaft angles as well with that much droop.

If you don't mind through the hood and overcome everything else go for it! Just remember its the same as with IFS, there's "clean" travel and "dirty" travel.

    Looks good keep on chugging.

    or..or...ooorrr...

ORIs? haha aren't they smaller then most CO? 18'' ORI is 25.2'' Compressed and 43.2'' extended...

    King CO 18'' is 28'' and 46''.

shit looks like King makes their own air shocks now..but still longer then ORIs.

ORI's are OVERRATED. Period. To finicky and oh so many people are having so many problems with them. Coilovers have been in use for decades, tried and true.

It would help him package it though. Then another $500 later and he could adjust them, once he buys a setup to do so.

Yeah ORIs was the plan. I think I could fit them. There's around 46-48" from under the hood to the end of the axle where it meets the inner C at full flex/droop.

Certainly. How's your truck on the road BTW? I figured if I drive on the street, I'd have to deal with sway bar crap if I went with coilovers.

Unless sitting low with a shit ton of unsprung weight will make the need for sway bars nonexistent.

Rides really nice. Better than my buddy's '07 with a spacer lift. I have some body roll but nothing unbearable by any means. You may be in a different boat seeing how you will be linked in the rear. The leafs provide a lot of stability.

Set your dual rate stops on the rear to reduce the body roll and your G2G.

What are you using for a transfer case? I see pictures but can't find what setup you are using? Looks good man, I like that you are doing it yourself, trial by error is the best way to learn something.

Edit: what ratio and spline count did you go with? I can tell it's the IW taco double case setup

Matt doesn't even use 18" CO's... I'd hate to see this great build use ORI's.. They are great and all, but CO's are just better, you get what you pay for. Stick with the 16" CO's... Don't fuck with 18"s; that's just ridiculous.
