You can, it's just more difficult haha. Use a torch and heat it up, IIRC 300 degrees will break down red loctite

 

Red might make it a bit of a challange to swap an axle out on the trail. Blue seems to be a better compromise. And tack welding... well forget it.

 

Not if the tack is small enough that you can break it with a wrench.

 

I greased the piss out of my leafs before I assembled them.

 

On mine the leaf spring squeak is caused by dirt/mud. I jack up the truck to take the weight off the wheel. The leaf tips spread out a bit and I can spray them off real good. Some leaf packs have a teflon pad on the end of the leafs but some don't. Either way you can use a little PTFE on them to quite them down.

116 ft/lbs sounds about right for the front hanger.

 

Actually you have a good point. A tiny tack weld on the head of the bolt would prevent them from backing off. If you need to change a CV joint then you can just do a light grind on the weld, remove the bolt like normal, replace the ball joint, then reinstall.

 

All poly bushings?

As someone mentioned before, I used gobbs of grease on every surface, inner sleeves, inner and outer bushing surfaces. Greasable bolts for the shackles and spring hanger also help with this.

can eibach coils on bilsteins hold an aftermarket bumper that weighs 108 pounds. i believe the eibachs are 620?

Finished welding my new sliders up and got the legs mounted, will final weld them to the truck tomorrow morning!

 

i was told not to mix the ome's and billies lol maybe I should try with the eibachs and see if i have a sag first

 

Eibach will hold just a bumper easy.

just reinforced the 2wd tranny mount to be more solid and reduce movement added rubber pad and better fitting bushing sleeve to reduce rear and forward sway.
