They are "L" shaped and you'd probably need to drill into the valence to mount them. The Rigid tabs mentioned would be another option-no holes in the bumper/valence to deal with.

Very easy. I think you've probably seen a couple of posts on the switch. You'd want to replace that but otherwise, installation is a piece of cake.

with the harness that this comes with from IS, and you get one of those otrattw is there a wire that will illuminate the switch even when the switch is off if you get that dual led switch? I guess what i'm asking is if you can wire them so the switch lights up with your parking lights and also another light that lights up when you turn the lights on.

Also, how easy are these things to steal if you just stick them right out and not behind the grille. Any good way of vandal proofing the bolts?

I too am interested in putting an aftermarket switch after looking at all the cool ones they have available on OTRATTW. Still need some clearing up though.

So, will buying one of their rocker switches virtually plug and play with this GB's wiring harness?

And... does this harness wire straight to the battery meaning the lights could be on if the truck is off? I think the posting before referred to a different harness..

Does this light bar need a warm up period? or is it instant on/instant off.

Not possible with just this harness but possible.

If you get a switch with dual LEDs, one of the LEDs is independently wired, meaning you will have to add extra wires not included with this harness. But yes you can have it light up one light when you turn your driving lights on, just like your radio controls light up. You'll have to wire that independent LED to a fuse that is used when you turn your driving lights on or parking lights.

For securing the LED light bar, you can remove them just as you would put them on. Most likely an Allen wrench is used.

Here are some links. I saw these in a different thread. Kind of pricey and not sure if will work for all applications. But worth a look.

    This is a cover.

Or try using bolts with different heads, hex or star.

If you're looking for a more permanent installation, I would perhaps suggest loctiting the bolts.

The manufacturer wasn't able to give me a clear answer on this. Based on the pictures I've seen of the reflector and comparing LED die sizes, I would still bet on the double throwing farther.

This light bar has no warm up period. LEDs are instant on.

I've talked to and looked at OTTRATTW's products before. They do not appear to be plug and play, but you can cut the wires and get them to work. Yes this harness connects directly to your battery so you can turn it on without accessory power.

Yes, depending on what switch you choose to purchase. The earlier post talks about what to look for when choosing a switch. (Note: changing any switch will not be plug and play, it will be Cut, Wire, Play)

Yes, this harness wires directly to the battery. Meaning lights can be turned on with the vehicle off. Earlier I eluded to the fact that I haven't used this harness but after looking at https://www.illuminationsupply.com I have found that it does... Others have posted this as well.

No. The double led version has 5 prongs. Three of them are going to mate up to the wiring harness. They will be power to the switch, switch ground, and power out. If you flip the switch on it sends power to the relay which then lights the bar. This also lights the main led. The other two prongs are power and ground for the lower led. You could easily just tap into your parking lights and run a wire from that to the power for the lower LED. It sounds more complicated then it is. I can come up with a wiring diagram if you want.

Yea it will pretty much be plug and play. You will just need to connect the wires. Just chop off the old switch and put new connectors on.

And yea this harness will let you run the lights with the truck off.

EDIT: looks like I'm late to the party haha

I'm thinking of extending the group buy to after the Halloween weekend (11/4) to give people some more time and because I started the BAMF light bar GB late. Would anyone object to it?

Again, since I'm not collecting money ahead of time, if you want to reserve a light bar for the near future, say within a month or so, I can go ahead and put you down with this order.

It's your group buy my friend, you do what you gotta do. I just want my light bar ASAP!

By the way... I can remove the side brackets, correct? Because my opening in my avid bar is only like 32", and with the brackets on the bar measures like 35". So I'll have to figure out some other way to mount it... Just wanted to make sure I could remove the brackets on the side. Thanks!

Since you haven't heard back about the difference between the double and single row bars, just put me down for the double row. I think that would look better behind my grill too and if it throws light further, that is an added bonus.

I'm interested in the SR 20" (combo) and a harness too please :)

Hopefully it fits in the Rigid grille for the 2013's, or at least is modifiable to fit.
