    I think the onlt real options here are Kansas and Colorado

    Kansas = Absolute middle
    Colorado = Right next to Kansas and 1000X Cooler

    i suggested spring of 2010...like april or may...dunno where oct came from

    gotta have some concrete ideas first

    South Dakota was also mentioned...and had lots of sights for people to visit if they so choose

    location IMO doesnt have to be "in the middle" so much as be close to the central US to be as fair as possible for as many members as possible

    The idea is to have a place large enough to accomodate a large group of people for hanging out...with accommodations for both camping and hotels...and have stuff to do during the day to interest both the wheeling crowd and the non wheeling crowd

    i would be perfectly fine without any wheeling whatsoever...however if theres a place nearby where we decide...it will draw that many more people i think

    I don't see how people can dismiss certain states when they've never even been there...they just go by hearsay...:rolleyes:

    So far we've had suggestions for Kansas, SD, Iowa, Texas, Colorado, Nevada and Slocal

    Rather than just throw out more random places

    Lets maybe discuss what there IS to do at each of these areas...maybe narrow down an area of each listed state...look into both trails and other activities...along with possible campgrounds and nearby hotels

    Since I'll be involuntarily "retired" in January, I'm interested. Middle of U.S. is a looong way from Connecticut, but I haven't been on a road trip since the 70's:eek:
