Pyrite - Cut mud flaps, AVS deflector, WeatherTech floor liners. Silver Streak - Running boards for wife, AVS deflector, Kenwood DNX6140.
I'm thinking of adding bug deflectors to the tacos. Is there any particular brand you guys recommend? Or are they all created equal? Thanks in advance for any input.

It,s all in what you want. Do you want one that hits the hood or off the hood so you can get behind it.lund makes one called the interceptor it,s off the hood and wrap a round.

The Lund Interceptor uses metal mounting brackets that IMO will chip your paint. Ventshade (AVS), for one, uses all molded plastic tabs for mounting, no metal but the screws that came with mine were too small.....had to go buy some that fit. Neither deflects bugs worth a sh*t. They do protect your hood from flying road crap though.

I used weather tech, the plastic mounts that came with it suck but if you have a little know how then you can make some good ones. I went to home depot and used these dry wall mounts.:rolleyes:Mabey I should patent them to weather tech.:)$$$$$$:)

My ERG works alright. Not as many love bugs pasted to my window and no more chips on the hood.

Uses plastic mounting tabs under the hood and does not touch the outside of the hood- so there is no scraping/chipping.

Anyone ever hear of a color matched one?

Toyota doesn't even offer a color matched one.

I really want one of these, just been too damn busy with other shit to research more and buy one.

I think they only come in the "smoke" color Jan. I've never seen one painted, but It's probably possible if it's done right.:)

I have a toyota parts bug deflector I got on sale at the dealership, I think it works pretty well, I drive a lot of country roads around pasture land and we got lots of bugs. It just helps to keep the window a little more clear than without. Its smoke colored.
