It'll be big enough. I have a 3 yr old and it's fine.

I had a beater 2 door Chevy when my wife told me she was preggo in 2009.

In short order I found my 2005 DCSB and it is the best kid carrying, trailer towing, hunting vehicle I could have possibly picked.

My boy loves riding in it and my wife thinks it's too big for her to drive...so she doesn't. She sticks to her Subaru.

    Congrats!

And not only for financial reasons.... You will soon learn that you have a lot less time than you did before! I sold my access cab and bought a double cab when my daughter was about 4. I miss the gas mileage but the room is great.

When buying my truck back in 2010. I wanted to purchase an access cab. Dad told me " son you never know, just in case the dbl cab" Well that same month my wife and I found out she was preggers with our first son. Good call old man.

CONGRATS! I have a DC with a 5YR and 3YR old. Both the booster and car seat fit perfect. The kids have plenty of room back there. I do get the kick in the back of my seat now and again, but that is them having fun. They have plenty of room for their little legs.

    Congrats OP!

Best purchase I ever made when kids came into the picture was a minivan of all things. Best darn family vehicle out there period regardless of what anyone says. Decent MPG, tons of space for diaper bags and such, really comfortable, easy to get the kids in and out with sliding doors, and had plenty of pep (had 244 hp). Just cant say enough good things about it. Sure I hated that it was a "minivan" (yuck!!!!!!), but if I was going to make the commitment to family, I figured I'd take the plung and do it right.

    True story!
