Bob the Medic as he was in the book "Road to Woodbury"

    Highlight to read

I've read both the "Rise of the Gov" and "Road to Woodbury" so I may mix up a little details between them.

Bob was a Medic in the service, in the books he was an older white guy that served in the Korean War (I beleive). He had a family that was all killed during the initial outbreak and suffers with alcohol addiction and PTSD.

In the "Road to Woodbury" the story follows a girl who is living with a bunch of other folks are are constantly on the road, camping where they can, and trying to survive. Bob is one of 4-5 people that are in her close group within the larger camp.

They eventually find their way to Woodbury and the Gov starts to use Bob as his 'Right hand man' basically all the while arranging women for Bob and giving him all the booze he can drink but also telling him his life secrets, Penny, National Guardsmen ect. There is no real end to Bob at this point, i'm sure he'll be a continued charector in the book that is just about to come out about the Gov.

    End

It does, but I'm still unsure. The way the Tv's Bob acts is how the Book's Bob acted early on. Tormented, but trying to stay sober and be a good guy.

They could be just using the charectors name and background to fill another role in the prison and he may not have any ties to the Gov or Woodbury at all.

We will find out in a couple of weeks I guess.

Hell, knowing how The Walking Dead works, it will be more like the end of the season before we find out who is doing all this...

Always a possibility. There's no method to the way they use characters from the book.

    I hope not.

Right, I just thought the reference to Dr. S was Dr. Stephens from Woodbury. I was wrong

I thought Dr. Stephens was a women and she bailed out of Woodbury before the Gov's attack, and that Bob (then drunk all the time) saved the Gov. But I read all of that a long time ago.

Where is Dr. Stevens? Did she not come to the prison when they evacuated Woodbury? If she stayed behind were there others that stayed at Woodbury? What happened to Karen's son Noah the 14 year old with asthma who the governor forced to be a soldier against Karen's wishes? If 6-7 months passed in the storyline between seasons a whole lot a shit may have gone down that we don't know about. Episode 1 was 30 days without an accident. What about the 5-6 months before that? It is possible that an encounter with the governor has already occurred. I read that the governor will have 2 episodes and they will be flashback episodes showing the beginning of the governor and the end. We have only seen the middle of the governor's story. The flashback episodes will also fill in the 6-7 month gap between season 3 and 4. I also read that the governor will have a different mindset this season. Maybe when we see him again in the present timeline he will be a walker. Also how did Carl's attitude change to be such a goody two shoes? I often envisioned a scene in the prison where a distraught older woman from Woodbury is passing a picture of a young man around asking if anyone knows what became of him and when Carl looks at it it is the guy he shot causing him to change his attitude. I love this show because I can imagine all kinds of different theories but they are usually wrong. I believe flashbacks will also be used to explain Stookey and Doctor S.

On Talking Dead the special effects makeup and prop guy, Greg Nicotero said that they had about 7,500 walkers for that shot

Will he come back as a helper or a hinderance? He seemed too batshit for any positive return to the show. Maybe, he needs to "clear" the prison.

One of the WD actors ( can't remember which ) tweeted a picture of a Season 4 promo poster and Morgan is on it

Morgan in the books (hidden, possible spoilers)

Like Rick did in the tv series, in the books Rick went to find Morgan to bring him to the Prison. It was less a run for guns and more a finish on his promise to follow up with Morgan and his son. It was a pretty similar scenerio, the son was dead, killed by his mother, and Morgan had gone batty over it.

Rick brought him to the prison, he seemed to start to adapt to it pretty well, started banging around with Michonne then kinda went off the deep end a little.

    (End)
