I think it's cheaper to deal with the very few that asks for the TSB than putting 4 leafs on every single US truck.

I know the dealers around here will still be getting 2009 models in August. That's what mine will be. They will be trading with another dealer that will be getting the model I'm trying to find.

I know that up here in my part of Canada, there are a few '09's left but for certain models, 4cyl 4x4 access cab for instance, we need to wait for the 2010's. Shifty thing is that they apparently won't be arriving until mid September eRly October and at a much higher interest rate than what Toyota is offering right now. I was hoping to get one this past weekend but missed out on the remaining trucks, in my way to check out a used '01 ext cab TRD right now, high miiler though, I'm pretty chapped to say the least...

"...We do apologize; at this time, we do not have information available on the 2010 Tacoma. Information on the 2010 Tacoma will be available closer to the launch date. We currently do not have a tentative release date, but the new models usually arrive in the fall."

This is about what I expected to hear back...leaving it completely ambiguous. I was happy to receive a genuine email that seemed written by a person vs an automated response. They got back to me quick too!

Already answered. Well my Opinion anyway:eek:

"I dont think there going to do anything with the leaf pack..... to much hassle and too much money.... its probably cheaper on them to do it this way.

With a new leaf pack you have to find a supplier, redesign it, and then put it back into production. "

they already have the design and supplier (they supply them for canadian models) although their supplier might not be able to produce enough.

it's still cheaper for them to simply change a few ones with the service bulletin

Hmm. I wonder if my dealer knows anything...

I wish I knew, Im ready to go pull the trigger on an '09 and am happy to see they just reinstated the $1500 rebate in my region...but I would be pissed if the '10s come out next month (or at least the info) and they changed something big like a better engine...

The dealer around here believes there may be increased fuel mileage with the Tacoma V6 and the I4 engine. His insider says that's the reason for the delayed production! There's Two 4x4 access cabs and one 2wd access cabs on his lot and he say's that's it for the 09's for him unless he can get one from another dealer.I think I'll wait for the 10's
