 just because you know you're allergic to something doesn't mean you are invincible to it.. An epi pen buys you time but its not a cure..

Also age doesn't matter.. my mom didn't find out she was allergic to fire ants until she was in her 30s..

this or sometimes you may not know what ingredient is in something because you didnt expect it. i almost went to the hospital (didnt because of the mentality i was raised in..that and i is broke lol) sunday because i went to a thai restraunt the and smell of peanuts is strong (my body is so allergic i get reactions from the smells alone) but i stayed because i didnt want to be a party pooper, they brought out complimentary salads out and i saw no peanuts ate it and realized there has to be some in there, i asked what was in the dressing and sure enough peanuts.

Hospital is probably still closed due to Obamacare. No moneys left bc they're to busy subsidizing a benefit for the lazy. Get ready for more closings and long lines. Welcome to socialism. :stirthepot:

Do you even know why it's not being opened? Have you signed the petition to re-open it?

With all your 'spare time' you do know you could be doing good with it for the community or just keep swilling crap beer on the beach complaining.

    Your choice.

The hospital is really closed because it is s total loss structurally and financially. Why rebuild when it is a money looser? After all this is merica and if you can't turn a profit off of others health issues why not just let them die.

"What Sandy did was accelerate what ultimately would have happened; they would have had to change their business model sooner or later, due to the serious fiscal and operational issues they face," said spokesman Bill Schwarz.

The ad provoked a scathing response from state Health Commissioner Nirav R. Shah, who said in a letter to the board that fiscal problems "have plagued the hospital since long before the storm." LBMC ranks ninth on the state's list of financially distressed hospitals and has had annual losses of more than $2 million since 2008, he said.

Sounds to me like a good deal of people going to that particular hospital need to get themselves some medical insurance and the hospital needs to run much more efficiently if it is to ever re-open.
