Idaho BS thread in the PNW

The RTT is about as easy to setup as a regular ground tent. The rest of that would be overkill for me. haha

 

the rest of that is what looks like its gonna take to much time.. aka not easy.. that takes time away from road head bro..

 

haha. If I were to buy that I would probably try to sell the awning room and just keep the RTT and it's annex.

 

yeah well you have fun with that my friend the girl and i are still big fans of a normal tent and i guess that works for us.

 

i would actually say set up and take down of my rtt is easier than most tents.....


sure the awning can be a pain, but totally doable






Now whats tough about my tent, how fucking tall up it is now ....

 

I'm not getting an RTT anytime soon. haha I still just rock a normal ground tent with an air mattress.

 

Just get some stilts.. youll be fine.. Ill have my girl help me pack up the tent and boom more road head time

 

My tent with my girlfriends help takes less than 3 minutes. Of course we don't have any fancy attachments on the RTT but we don't need them. I still help everyone else out to set their stuff up after mine is up so having the RTT helps the whole camp go up faster.

 

i was more talking tare down and yeaht thats fast.. At one point i thought about a RTT but im not staying exp im going to sas and run 42's and thats one tall ass RTT so good thing the woman and i still like normal tents.

 

Just put it on the top of your gooseneck. Lol

 

That's why I want a trailer to put one on. I don't want the extra weight raising my COG.

 

LOL actually i was thinking of putting my shell that i built like 8 years ago up there.. my dad never uses it and it was built for his taco.. Its like a camper

Oh yeah so I found out the other day that after I start my welding program, I can bring my runner in and can build some bumpers for it. Looks like I may just have some armor for next years Moab after all. I am starting the program in Dec.

 

Hmmm after you LT I don't think you would have to worry as much about 120-140 lbs

 

Yeah, but it would still suck I think. Only place I have to put an RTT is on my roof so it would be at the highest point possible too...

My COG is perfect. Didn't change my wheeling capabilities but if I was going full Lt then I would want a trailer to put it on too.

 

eh Mike you saw how fast it took to setup mine tent w/annex and awning and get the "kitchen" setup with Jess and Grant there..like no time at all. I love the awning.

 

I agree that the RTT is faster. That was my point. But it takes me way less time without all that stuff, even if I do want it. I also don't normally have a 3rd person either.
