    Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Problem is if he takes it to the dealer they flag it. If they don't fix it the owners screwed.

    that was common on old toyotas with full boxed frames, back on the gas tank side where they collected mud etc both inside and outside and rotted away.

    Up there in the front of the frame where that hole is, is pathetic.. makes me worry for the future of my 2013

    So would drilling holes in the bottom of your frame be a good idea to help stuff drain out, or would it just make it worse by allowing more stuff to get in?

    That truly sucks - so basically if it's covered by warranty you're good, if you're out of warranty what's an option besides paying $15k for a frame swap?

    Hope for a recall swap like they did on 1st gens. Seems like I saw something where an '05 2nd gen got his frame replaced for free. Although he said it was covered under warranty so maybe it was an extended warranty that covered it.

    Say and aren't the frame recalls just about over with for some 1st Gens? 15 years from manufacture date right?

    If ya'll get past the pics and read down some, Toyota is paying parts and labor to replace frame. But the dealer wants $7400 cash money from the OP before they'll order the parts. They don't want to get stuck with the frame cost. They basically want to hold his money hostage until Toyota reimburses them the full cost of repair (parts & labor).

    Utter BS that "Made me say WTF!"

    I'm pretty sure they are... I try to get under my rig once a year and pray everything with a new coat after a nice industrial hot pressure bath.

    It was, toyota simply cancelled it early.

    it wasn't really a recall just toyota doing the right thing.

    They would buy back tacoma trucks from 95.5 on to 2001 i believe and 2002 and up had the frames replaced.

    But they 2nd gens still have the origional corrosion protection warranty for however long that is. probably just shorter than the problem period.
