    Your wire harness will need to be replaced... if it is same problem my '05 had... Air bag light came on... and the defective wire harness was replaced... about $300 because out of warantee... I learn later that hundreds of second gen. tacos had the SAME problem!

    does the airbag still work???


    For real is it just the light or is it actually not functioning. Not sure how to test this one?

    Its part of a recall on Tacoma model years 2005 to 2009.It states that your "spiral cable assembly"needs to be replaced and that your drivers side AIR BAG might not deploy.Call 1-800-331-4331 and have your trks VIN handy.

    Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.

    Thanks for this guys.

    My air bag light came on a week ago on my 06 with 86k miles.

    I entered my vin in this website and sure enough I had a recall.

    Took it to the Toyota dealer today and got it fixed for free.

    The light by the clock is ok.

    If the light by the tachometer on the dash stays on while driving then you have a problem.
