Same with me. Im sure these have been tested and anything outside the headlight is an easy fix. Although, can't really go without my vehicle at night either. We'll just have to hope for the best.

That's what I was thinkin. The ways to mess up a harness ....... Bad wire connections, bad relay, bad fuse, bad plugs, bad switch, undersized wire. There's no technology in it so there's no "bugs to work out". You could build the same harness sitting in your driveway just following a simple wiring diagram. But there's always gonna be ways to improve anything and that's all that seems to be goin on.

I've got one but I don't know if they get body parts for a discount. I just bought some depo lights cause I've seen a lot of people on here say they are real close to oem.

Has anyone done FX-Rs in 7X6 conversions? I have seen Mini H1 and D2S on Tacomas with 7X6s, but not FX-Rs. I am wondering if there's enough room in front of the air filter box and battery for the FX-Rs.

Did some more research on D2S and H1 projectors....
Seems like a lot of ppl said d2s is hit or miss with their alignment, and the hi beam sticking problem. However the threaded shaft is bigger than the H1 in comparison.
Which I believe will be better for our application, at least for 2012+

If the H1 shaft is skinnier, the projector will be more prong to movements?

They both lock into the housing similarly, the difference is the D2S is an industry-standard lamp used by the auto makers. The D2S is retained by a ring and compression ring, the H1 is retained by clips.

Alignment has been an issue on all of them. I've seen H1 sets that were off by 45 degrees. My D2S were only off by a small amount and only needed a bit of filing on the tabs.

Likewise, high beam sticking has been a fairly uncommon problem, but has happened on both types.

I broke a pair of D2S bulbs because the locking tabs are cheap ceramic.

Here's my beam pattern. Right side is pretty much level, left side is slightly crooked and I can't get the bulb to 100% seat properly (it stays put though). Just drove around and the lights are aimed a little high so I'll fix that tomorrow.

How close would you say and was it with a stock size battery?
According to the specs on TRS website, the FX-Rs are .5" longer than the Mini D2S.

The output is still a lot better than a PNP kit!

Yeah I've had these in for about a month now and I'm pleased with the output. Definitely a big difference from stock.
