    "Legal" is any uninsured driver operating a vehicle no matter who owns it, that varies from state to state. Now if my insurance heard that I let an uninsured driver drive my truck and they total it, I'd get dropped. They don't want the responsibility. So basically your friend would say "Gee, sorry about that..... Well, see ya!"

    Plus, that is where the liability insurance comes into play. It is also in full coverage insurance.
    Well beside for the little shit hole insurance. Some wont cover other drivers if they are not on the insurance. Wont even cover your car if it was involved in an accident.

    Still doesn't guarantee coverage if anything happens. Usually the insurance company will only cover the drivers on the policy who were behind the wheel at the time of the accident.

    most smaller insurance companies might try to do shit like this. But this is why you have insurance is to cover any accident regardless of who drives. If they do deny you, they wont fix your car. Sometimes wont even fix both cars. Just because the policy holder was not driving. I have only seen that happen once. Lol
