$63 Polk DB1001 1" Silk/Polymer Composite Dome Tweeters (Pair, Black)

Polk DB1001 tweets to complement my DB571's. Too lazy to come up with some fancy mount, so I just flush mounted them. Didn't have to change the size of that opening so I can always go back.

Ok I just found out about them today from a guy

 

They had a group buy on them earlier in the year. Some guys liked them, a few had issues.

 

Yea I'm online looking now they don't have any 33/12.5/15 they have 31/10.5/15 but idk if I wana go down to a 31

 

Anyone replaced their rear speakers on an '02 xcab? How do I get this guy off to access the speaker? Someone told me they just pop off but I did a little poking and prying without luck. Do I have to remove the whole side panel?

Digiratus, I would assume it works the same way as mine. You have to pry from a specific side (top or bottom, I can't remember). The side you are supposed to pry from has a clip and the other side has hooks that hook into the rest of the panel.

 

They popped off on the older trucks, but you need to take the whole panel off.

 

Haven't changed the rear speakers yet, but I have removed that panel. And I do believe you'll have to remove that entire panel.

I had to pop off the whole panel which required taking off the rear panel and a bunch of other stuff. I'm looking for the Crutchfield data sheet for the install.

 

I didn't remove my back panel when I took my side panels off. You just need to finagle it a little differently.

I was actually planning to remove the jump seats and that pad that runs along the rear of the cab below the windows anyway.

I am hoping to add about 2" of extra room between the passenger seat and the back of the cab for my fridge. It fits right now but I have to move the seat forward which makes it a bit upright and cramped for someone sitting there.

Did a little camping/wheeling with some of the Alabama guys.


Also got my sliders sprayed with raptor liner on the tops before I left for Bama but didn't have time for drying and install so they'll go one when I get home!
