For a herd that big, they would need much more than new fences...only a castle or something with thick, tall walls could survive that.

Time, material and man power would be needed to reinforce the 2 chain link fences around the whole unit. All of which they appear to be running out of.

Although the thing that gets me is why a unit that had a 'death row' only had a 2 stage fence to begin with gets me  my old unit had 3 chain link fences and in between each fence was a pyramid of Concertina wire....

Bike pedaled generators. That's how radios in the jungle for the coast watchers in WW2 did it for years in very harsh conditions.

Solar panels would be the simplest of answers.

Depending on someone's abilities, I'd imagine a radio wouldn't need much power to run. Could also be maybe a treadmill-style, or maybe a power inverter on a car/12V like our trucks have. If you did that in small enough doses you wouldn't need to run the vehicle, or maybe they have a shit-ton of batteries they can tap.

Yeah, but no forts that know have big walls...and most are surrounded by a single fence.

Duh, solar would be the way to go if it's an option as well.

Possibly, but I am no radio expert, though.

They needed a faster car since it was 50 miles away and needed the meds quick but looks like it didnt do any good.

Then again of course they are promoting couple vehicles from the show for commercial.

:rofl:Better yet, find an island in one of the rivers. No way in hell a walker can get to it without a boat.

I read a 'Zombie Horde' physics thing once. The idea about how the hordes grow is that they are attracted to sound and movement, so a group of four zombies will attract a couple and it'll grow, then it'll attract more, and more, and more until it's huge. Same principle of dumping, say, a bunch of rubber ducks in the ocean, eventually 90% of them will end up at the same place together......kinda similar

Convicts aren't going to mindlessly push up against a fence all together and try to knock it over in most cases, fences for prisons are designed more to be a boundry than an actual containment right? They had the watch towers that were likely manned to deter jail breaks.....right?

It couldn't of been Carl who helped Carol burn/carry the bodies... Carl was too busy opening the gate for Michonne and killing the walkers who were getting inside. That eliminates Maggie too.

Hmm, they do breathe to some extent, how else would they make noise? So, even if they could, they wouldn't think to enter upriver from the island and would get swept away by the current.
