Here are a few pics of my latest project.
Inset a DeeZee aluminum tool box into an Extang solid fold tonneau cover.
    Thoughts from the floor?

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
    Nice, not a bad idea.

pretty sweet idea/project. Have you noticed any leaking? (looks like there might be a sealant around the box but i cant tell).

So far so good. Box is bolted from the bottom with aluminum bar reinforcement. Added foam gasket around the bottom edge of the toolbox and synched it down... also a bead of latex silicone behind gasket.

Passed hose test but now we have snow... no snow drifts in the box??

Great set up and idea... I have the same job box which I'm in the process of figuring out how to mount it to the bed rail. my old installation I just drilled the bed rail and attached with hardware, after picking up my truck this week and having a good look at the rails I do not want to drill them, can I ask you how you mounted your job box, thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Sheldon

Nice! I've been looking for a solution like this. I've got a Weather Guard box and I wanted the rest of the bed covered/secured. Never occurred to me to make a cutout in the cover and install the box OVER the cover! My issue is that I have the low profile box, which puts the red latch buttons below the top of the cover.
Maybe I could rig up a remote opener to my tool box.......
