AZ camping/wheeling on Log Corral trail 11/9-11/10

Yeah we can wait and push it back if need be. Sorry, next weekend I'm already set to go fly fishing with Neal, then work the 16th and 17th. So the 23rd & 24th would be the soonest I could do it.


Why not crown king IN the snow? That would be much more fun and exciting

Ill agree to the challenge of the rock section. I went on a quad which was way easier than anything close to a stock Tacoma.

When I went about a year ago I came across a bottomed out, brand new, beat up, Tundra Rock Warrior. On my way out I came across the owner hiking up the canyon with a jack. Its definitely an awesome road past the difficult stuff.

 

Back in the day when it was "discovered" Log Corral was near-buggy hard, I mean smash your shit to pieces hard, and I went as copilot in an extreme Zuk. That was 8 years ago... I'm guessing a lot has changed since then, but I'm still a bit skeptical. And intrigued. I might want to try that trail sometime and see whats up, but probably not for a couple more months.

yeah thats what i have heard! when i first did it like 4 years ago it was pretty crazy on my dirtbike, but as the years went on it got easier and easier. a month or so ago we took some rhinos through there, and it was cake. obviously it wont be cake in a truck, but doable for sure!!

 

Awesome looking trail. I'd be down to do it after this weekend since we have the camping trip.

and should we go in and out the hard way, or should we go out from sun flower?
i believe you have to cross the verde that way, and im not set up for any deep water crossings. but as long as its not too bad...

 

I like the tough stuff. And I am always down for a trail run and camp out so keep me in mind when you guys plan stuff.

Well I don't want to miss this! But I'm fly fishing that weekend with Neal up at SC.

 

Verde in that location will not be hard to cross at all this time of year. I would vote for in hard way and out Sunflower

 

the earliest dates i can do it that allign up with you would be 12/7, and thats hoping my truck isnt broken after being at the dunes for 9 days (highly likely)
