When your saying sound guys? What exactly are you talking about ia that a career field?

Audio Engineers. The guys that are responsible for everything you hear at concerts, radio, TV, Movies, Music and more. Its not as simple as anyone every thinks. Very complex really..

 

sound guys in general are undervalued and underrepresented


unless you're a performing musician who's had shit sound guys. then you appreciate people who know what the fuck theyre doing. haha

The greatest complement we get..is none at all..our job is very much taken for granted and very transparent to everyone other then those directly involved.

Don't make a lot of money either.

 

If you want to have fun I say join the Marines, but we generally dont have sound guys. If you want good money, a job afterwards and to take it easy while your in then join the air force. I think the army is a good in-between. Especially since they have so many duty stations. But they get pay we dont get in the Marines so if you want monies then dont join the Marine Corps haha

 

Who makes a hi lift mount for a bed with no rails of any kind? If not, would it just be better to fab my own?

 

Fab your own, or I can make you one and ship it. They are super easy to make but if you dont have time I could make something for you super cheap.

 

Speaking of fab work. Starting welding school soon and build my own plate bumpers as the school will let me use the welders there. Any ideas you might have that you can throw my way for a first bumper build.

 

Just have fun. You can always build another later. Dont get discouraged.

haha yea having a job after it would be the goal..haha but getting to be a active bad ass would be fun too..thats what always worries me..i think i would end up trying to go special forces at some level..mostly just for the challenge to see if i can..

 

I thought that too. Super hard to get into now with all the cuts and even if you join to get it you might not actually become an operator. I think I am going back in when school is over and I will probably go MARSOC just for funsies.

 

yea its no easy task..never said that haha nor do i know if i could make it. Everyone wants too..well..okay..not everyone...but a lot of people do thanks to movies/games/news what have you. But would be fun to try for it.

 

Yeah, I mean I know its hard training, but its also hard just to be selected as well. But you could have a lot of fun doing whatever if you get a job that allows for travel. Plus it will be what you make it.

That would be pretty bad ass. You would be open to go anywhere. Yeah some SF is open to everyone and some is not. Just depends man.

 

ah that makes sense..

and no they send you on assignments i guess..even in combat to photograph. pretty important job if you think about it..they are responsible for all the historic photographs and front line photos you see now..kinda cool..just not super useful when you get out..haha
