I've read the FD lenses are a fairly good kept secret since they can work really well with the EOS even though most people hate on them... Sounds like you've got some fun stuff to play with! I've been scowering Ebay for a nice 55mm 1.2 lens on the cheap!

My dad gave me a 28mm too but the f/stop is busted ( I took it apart and noticed it's just sticking but couldnt fix it without likely ruining the lens so I just left it wide open)...

    that doesn't surprise me..my problem is i can't stop read stuff on a screen..haha

Yea..life stress is getting to me too..

yea some like them..some don't..the 85-300 has the most appeal to me..the 35-100 is pretty much the same as my 18-135 once you add in the 1.6x and 1.4x crop..ha i mean..its not as wide and a little longer..but not a big enough improvement..

what crop does your adapter put on your K lenses?

55mm FD would be a 100mm when its all said and done..

I'm the same way. I wonder if some "over the counter" sleep aids would be a good idea...but I think I'll probably like 'em way too much:/

K mount to EOS adapter ads no focal length change :D

    Taken from another forum...
"I would go with Pentax K mount lenses over Canon FD lenses for one simple reason - there is no focal length multiplier. That is, a 50mm K mount lens is still 50mm when adapted to the EF mount, but there is a 1.25x multiplier when dealing with FD lenses. This may not be a bad thing at longer focal lengths, but is a problem if you're looking for a wide-angle lens."

ps that lens I was bidding on skyrocketed over $200 today :pout: Was hoping to get it, looked so nice for an older lens!

That would be sweet if you could look for me!!! It's the old Pentax PK bayonet mount that I have adapters for. I even got an auto focus confirm adapter that I hope works in the mail for 10$... It'd be nice not to have to guess on the right focus anymore so I hope it works well.

it wont auto focus for you but when you twist to focus it will beep when you hit the focus spot. this is what I got \/ I first just got plain adapters and have been manually focusing but that gets kinda old haha.

Here's another one I might try if this one does not af confirm cuz its some cheap ebay bs...

70-200 2.8 !!! if they've got one haha. and yea all the k lens adapters are just rings.

as far as where the beep comes from, put ur camera in manual focus on the lens and then half push the shutter button and move the focus ring till it beeps, There's something built in that confirms when its focused and the adapter allows that to happen with whatever chip it has.
