If he's tinting your taint you have to ask if he's legal?

What was implied good sir is that I would like a waxed smooth taint...not one with a dark colored plastic film on it. :)

Saw a jefferson county patrol car doing the gumball 3000 today on i-70 in lakewood. No lights, easily 90mph. Usually don't pay any mind to this but then I saw him do some serious weaving without reducing speed. Crossed from fast lane to a right exit, 4 lanes, in about 8 seconds through gaps barely big enough for his car. Seriously wondering if this car was stolen. Hope someone got the plate and called, put your f'n lights on if you're going to drive like a maniac.

Maybe he ate taco bell last night :smack:

If that is a requirement I would turn down the calendar opportunity.

They don't have to run lights and sirens to have someplace to be.

How do you know he wasn't responding to a burg in progress call and wanted to remain stealth? Robbery in progress?

If there's an issue then contact the watch commander instead of making strong assumptions.

And the plate wouldn't matter much- it's the unit #.....

Yeah and if the guy you're giving it up to to get into the calendar requires that it be waxed & bleached perhaps you should find a different calendar to be in.

Certain types of calls require certain levels of response. If you're traveling at a high rate of speed, no lights, sirens etc, and you get a complaint, can you articulate why you were speeding? State law requires that emergency vehicles responding to emergency calls or in pursuit of actual or suspected law violators use visual or audible signals and are allowed to violate most if not all sections of title 42 Traffic Code. However, if the officer/trooper/deputy feels that use of such signals would interfere with the flow of traffic, he's not required to use them. Also, if the above mentioned LEO is attempting to catch up to individual to verify evidence or guilt of a violation or information on a vehicle, he's not required to use visual or audible signals yet allowed to violate the 42 Code.

The LEO driver is at all times responsible for his/her actions, nothing in the 42 Code gives provision for the LEO to be covered in the case of accidents or damage or loss of life. The LEO is required at all times to drive with due regard for all other members of the public. If you feel the LEO is not driving with due regard and you wish to file a complaint, keep in mind that he may perhaps be responding to a call where he needs to be, and that someday, that same cop may have to respond to your call, and you want him there right then.

But...feel free to still call his boss; someone may call his boss on his way to your call lol!
