AZ camping/wheeling on Log Corral trail 11/9-11/10

These dates may give me the time I need to get my truck ready.

 

I do. I just need to get some more hard trail miles in. I'm rusty right now.

dam guys, major bummer for me, i forgot i have a prior commitment for saturday night 11/9, so i wont be able to camp.

we can still do it saturday though?
start at like 8am and that should give us way more than enough time. the hard section of the trail is pretty short.

 

I don't want to speak for everyone but I'd still like to camp somewheres on the trail Sat night. So if that means I finish the trail by myself, so be it

 

i would be down for that! there should be plenty of spots in there to camp before the hard stuff

 

I'd really like to turn this into a campout, too. Let's camp right on the lake and throw out some catfish rigs, if there's space and nobody already has the spot. Weather should be amazing.

 

there shouldnt be anyone in the spot, i rarely ever see anyone out there.

sadly i wont be able to camp, but i can get out myself.

Edit: and if there is anyone in the spot you can follow the powerline trail to a different spot on the lake, but you will get lots of pin stripe getting to the water in the other spot, not sure if you care, i dont lol

are you guys wanting to camp in the trail head before the hard stuff friday night, or are you guys wanting to wheel to the lake saturday morning, and you guys can camp sat night and come back sunday? and ill just come back saturday evening?

Is it important or just cool?

 

I think we wheel in on Saturday, camp overnight and fish, then head out Sunday by mid day in case there are any issues and we need some daylight to problem solve.

 

I dont fish but I do....Take pictures of those fishing, tell awesome stories to those fishing, drink with those fishing, get fly's unstuck from the opposite shore and of course provide moral support.

 

How long does it take to wheel in to the lake?

 

Well it's 10 miles from highway to water, so based on everyone's progression through the hard part, pictures, etc. it shouldn't take more than about an hour or so. If we hauled ass, we'd be through the boulders and down the trail probably within a half hour, depending on the group and if we stopped for pics.

 

important to camp by the lake? na just cooler.

i say thats a good idea, going out will be way easier than going in, since going out is going down.
so are you in adam?!

i can get to the lake in like 15 minutes on my dirtbike if im with people that can ride and are hauling ass.
in rhinos it took us about 40 to get in, 30 to get out.
trucks id expect 2 hours in, 1.5 out. at least, never know when your in trucks lol.

I'm 99% in. Only thing that would hold me up is if I break something between now and then or if I have an emergency. I'm having surgery on the following Monday so I'd like to get out and have some fun before I'm down for a couple days.
