AZ camping/wheeling on Log Corral trail 11/9-11/10

I can attest to this. He is very good at taking pictures of ppl fishing, even better at drinking with those fishing and above all else he can get a fly unstuck like no body I ever seen! Even when it entails sliding out onto a nasty slippery limb about 3 foot over the ice cold water

 

I'll be bringing the SLR on this one, and the action cam will be on the front bumper.

 

I too will have a fancy camera and the GoPro

 

And thanks Jason I do what I can to make sure those fish get what they deserve

 

So rather than just inviting myself, is this open to out of towners?

Looking like its locked in for the weekend of the 9th?

If I were to make my way out there I would want to camp Friday and Saturday night and would definitely be up for some fishing Sat afternoon/night.

friday you should camp before the tough stuff, so we can all do it together, its like a mile off of the 87 freeway where it starts getting tough.
then camp saturday at the lake to get some fishing in!

Ooh a Friday night pre-trail camp...... let me see if I can get the hall pass for that, too. I could head out right from work since I'll be in Scottsdale already instead of in Peoria. We could camp out before the boulders and walk in and take a look at it before we hit it Saturday.

 

sycamore is right by this.... we could do a run in sycamore friday evening, then head to log corral trail head to camp?

theres a real cool trail in sycamore, we call it "the loop"
starts in lower sycamore, goes to quarts mine/rock, then to firemans hill, then to upper sycamore, and we can exit there and continue to the log corral trail and set up camp?
the loop takes less than an hour, and thats with some farting around too.

 

No clue where any of this stuff is, don't know the area well so whatever people this is best camp spot works for me. I know the I-10, that bout sums it up. Ill probably take off from San Diego in the mid morning and head to where ever I am told to go.
Might stop off at Sierra Expeditions on the way, hopefully my new snorkel ram will be in by then, apparently they are not car wash friendly.

FYI, the loop in sycamore is not hard, i can do it in my truck in 2wd locked.

If I can make it out on Friday, then I'm in for the loop. I'll probably have to work until about 4 so I wouldn't be out there until about 5pm or a little after though.

 

i work as well, and i wouldnt be able to get out there till about 630.

 

I'm definitely down for camping Fri and Sat night I can be up in the Phoenix area around 1700 or so

 

would you want to do the sycamore loop then head to the log corral trail to set up camp?
