IMHO it isn't worth it because:
1.) Once the front is upgraded your rear suspension is the limiting factor.
2.) The price to LT a truck is at least 3x the kit.

I actually have never looked into this in Colorado. I have never had it on any car/truck I have owned and never have had a real rust issue. Not sure it is worth.

Probably better to tint your taint... but I'd ask KodiakTRD's opinion on that first. :p
Keep in mind that you would be one of few so make sure you have a full set of spare parts because anything you break on the trail that others might have spares of will not fit your truck anymore. It is certainly unique but if you are going to that extent IMO just hold out for a SAC.

This coming from experience Mikey? :D

I wouldn't worry about it. I had two Tacomas over the last ten years in Colorado. I kept the chassis's sprayed clean of mag-chloride whenever possible, and never had any rust. Even my body damage never bloomed. Now that I'm out in the PNW, I'm a little more concerned about it, and I'm seeing more orange under there than before:eek:

Not sure where she was when we wheeled, but I think i added my rear locker and compressor, skid plates, sliders and 33's on new wheels since then. She is pretty capable now...

Check out my build, it has come a long way. Which trail did we run again when we went? Was it Kelly flats?

    FUCK YEAH!

Can your MT setup hit huge ass jumps and absorb the landing?

    no :D

Its seems to be a crime around here if you dont have SCS wheels, and mod your truck exactly like everyone else.

I just wanna have a damn blast when I drive my truck is all... which I do now but it can only get better :)
