    question for you guys....

    so at my house i parked one of my old cars on the street out front of my house, it has been there for like 5 months. (horrible i know)
    i got a sticker on it, it is a towing notice saying that if it hasnt moved within 48 hours they are allowed to tow it, is this valid? i just want to make sure.. never heard of this.

    Yeah, that happened to a friend of mine. Street parking is for temp parking only. They will consider it abandoned. Someone must have called it in.

    Depends on city code. In Peoria the vehicle in the driveway has to be licensed and registered or they can ticket you for inop vehicle. I got a ticket for my 72 GMC in the driveway because the tags were expired on the plate. The current tags were in the glove box. I recieved the ticket in September and went to court to fight it. Showed them the tages that were dated August but still had to pay the fine sibce they were not on the truck in view.
