Tinted Windows, Removed Mud Flaps, New rear speakers, Bilstein 5100 Leveling Kit, 17" MB TKO Wheels, 285/70 R17 Terra Grappler Tires,
Well after obsessing for 2 weeks, reading every post here, calling 4 wheel drive shops and tire stores (including manufactures) I've decided to take the plunge!!

Tomorrow I will be adding Bilstein 5100s to the front and putting a set of 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers on 17" MB TKO wheels.

In my extensive research I'm told that with a 4.5 backspace and little pick me up in the front that those monsters will fit nicely. We shall see!! Rub a Dub Dub 4 wheels on a truck!!

I'll be back to let you know how it all works out.

You shouldn't rub too bad with the 5100s @ 2.5, the TG is a pretty mild all terrain tire, but I would love to see pics when done.

Today i had the leveling kit, wheels and tires installed, No rubbing issues at all, even at full lock, after removing the baby flap in the front. Didn't have to trim or cut. I am very pleased!!! All my reasearch payed off. :D

What height did you set the 5100's and were you able to get it aligned properly with the stock UCA's?

This is the setup I'm going for and like you I like to research a lot so sorry for all the ?'s.

The 5100s are set at 2.5 with stock UCAs. I will probably max them out at 3" and add an 1" to the back for a little better clearance when offroad but where it sits now works great!! Do not go with spacers on the wheels. Just make sure you order them with the -6 offset and everything will clear nicely. Tires sit about a half inch beyond the fenders but I like that look. Had the leveling done at. 4 wheel parts and wheels and tires at Americas TIRE Co. All told with rebates and discounts it ran about $2100.

I hate to be a kill joy, but I think you're going to have some rub under suspension compression. Suspension lift is the equivalent of standing on your toes instead of standing flat footed. Riding around town- no problems. Out on the trail, stuff a tire and its still got to go somewhere. Be careful - that's how people tear up their fenders...

??? I thought 2.5" was max? I still need to put my 5100's on (with 265/70/17s) and trying to decided whether to go with 2.5" or 1.75". Currently, the only time I rub is when I'm turning (close to full lock) while backing up.

2.5 is max but you can add spacers and get a full 3"

Everything I've read on here says that you can run 265/70-17's on a stock suspension with no rubbing. Now I am confused.

If you are running a newer truck w/ those silly little front mudflaps they tend to rub - not sure if that's what he's referring to or not. I took 'em off my '12.
