Cool, it looks like one. Get rid of the ball stuff and see what you have under there.

    Great score!

Thx, will do. Just a cool utility trailer for now... But future overland trailer plans will undoubtably surface! (Can't leave well enough alone!)

And big Ups to Scott (Aka darkgreentaco) for hooking me up with his spare! Thanks man, and great to meet ya, sharp looking rig too...

Spotted a sick red lifted tacoma with black and chrome rims with a Red ARB front bumper in pleasanton at the corner of foothill and dublin Canyon this morning. Is that anyone on here?

Oh well HAI! That would be me!!

....Without the lift and the red ARB bumper. And it would be Orinda rather than Pleasanton.

    Why didn't you wave?

    ...too much shit to list.
You've got a lunette ring to standard ball adapter. So basically an on-road usage ball coupler. You could pull the adapter and use a pintle hook.

Personally I'd cut the whole thing off and replace it with 2.5"x2.5"x.25 wall receiver tube and use either a max-coupler or lock-n-roll hitch.

    Correct, they limit articulation.
For the size of that trailer there's not really a strength problem assuming it's a 2" ball with a 1" shank.

As for the pintle hook/lunnette ring, they were cool 10 years ago when that was all that was available to get more movement out of a hitch. Problem is every every time you have to slam on the brakes or accelerate fast it's like a 1500 pound sledge hammer hitting your pintle hook/receiver hitch.
