Got it. So most guys just gusset their stock spindles then?

The alternator peaks at 130 A but the battery can dump more than that at once when needed.

Just an example, but if you have a winch, under full load the Warn M-8000 is rated at drawing 435 Amps. 435-130 = 305 amps coming from your battery. I'm not sure what the typical current draw is when starting our vehicles though, but if it is higher than 130A you will pop that fuse or circuit breaker just trying to start your motor.

How often are you planning on having to reset this CB? I'm hoping I NEVER have to replace a fuse but we carry two just in case. How inconvenienced are you really if 5 years from now you short the power wire and have to replace a fuse? Actually, if you short the wire, the CB isn't going to reset anyways till you fix the problem. There's no right or wrong way, but in reality, is this something you're truly concerned about that you're going to have to reset it all the time to the point that convenience is remotely a factor? If so, you've got other wiring issues to worry about I'd say.

Good point, I don't know how many amps it takes to start my truck. However i can test that with my multimeter.

I agree. What I'm planning for is if I do have a problem and i keep popping fuses I will eventually spend more on fuses than I would on a breaker. (weak point, but possible) That is why I'm leaning towards the breaker.

I don't expect the breaker to reset itself, in fact i don't want that feature.

I'm just bouncing ideas off of everyone to see what makes the most sense. I appreciate the information.

I would choose the breaker for that exact reason. Would such to pop a fuse and not have a spare.

What kind of multi-meter do you have? I think most of them can't handle more than a few amps and I'll bet your starting current is pretty high. The factory 2nd gen battery is like 600 CCA so it can dump out 600 Amps in one shot pretty easily in warm temps. So I wouldn't be surprised if the starter pulls over 100 amps

You are correct. The meter I was going to use does 600A AC. I'll have to figure out another way to test. I do have a 150A Blue Sea breaker that I can test with. Should just go bolt that on and see what happens.

Hey guys bought a f67 pack a few weeks ago and just noticed this, is this a problem or anything to worry about?

    ...too much shit to list.
No. You're looking at the wrapping leaf springs. There are two leaf spring wraps, an under and an over. The busing itself goes on the inner most leaf spring eyelet.

I doubt a Toyota starter is going to draw anywhere close to 600 amps
