    Lots of stuff
I had 5% put all the way around mine and it took like a week to adjust while driving at night. Love it now!

    Just starting...
I ran into a similar problem by adding a shell with tinted windows. At night I had zero visibility via the rear-view mirror. I could see other people's headlights. I had a commercial license for a while and I was used to driving with only 2 side mirrors, but it still made backing up in the dark challenging. (Especially when my reverse light switch failed.)

The solution was a pair of Rigid Duallys as back-up lights. They were actually bright enough that I could see through the shell at night. And light up an entire parking lot.

Personally I always tinted only my rear window 5%. I always left my sides stock. The 5% rear is great for headlights etc.. looks better too, but my sides are normally down anyways and I diddint want the reduced visibility.

    Some stuff...
I've got 5% on the rear slider and rear doors, it is a little dark at night backing up at night. Driver and passenger windows are 20% so little to no visibility issues there.

Well guys and gals got my first window tint ticket today  After a road block yesterday they (troopers) eye balled the heck out of my truck and sent me on my way. So on the way home from work I passed one sitting on the side of the road and bam blue lights. Soooo Im eating my previous statements and will be removing only my side windows hoping he will drop my ticket ($290). I love my dark windows in the summer time but, dang its just not worth the ticket after ticket. Cause since I've been pulled over once I feel like they will continue to hassle me. My past 3 trucks all have been over the legal limit and it finally caught up to me...For anyone thats up in the air over window tint just go legal!

I came around a turn and he was sitting there (I live in the mtns). I usually have the windows down for this reason but, today was overcast and a bit chilly.. I even pulled the "I bought this truck like this" Bahaha

I went dark on my tint only to keep the darn sun out of the truck on hot days and found out shortly thereafter that window tint has zero ultraviolet prevention . Needless to say , my search for a tint with sun blocking features is hard to come by .
With this said , does anyone know a quality UV sun block film for the windows ?
I would rather have a UV blocker than the dark windows

Its just something that you get use to..My last 3 trucks all had dark windows and it has never put me in a bad circumstance where I couldn't see at night or day. To each their own I guess..I had it coming sooner or later. And we get inspections here in North Carolina also..most places dont even pay attention to it though. All they want is that $14 bucks lol

I know there is a clear ceramic like UV blocker out. The place I got my tint done had it. $$$$$ Though.

I had someone with a real dark tint pull out in front of me while I was on my Motorcycle. I smacked them in the side....so I KNOW they had the dark tint. Then she skum bag just drove off. Bike was totaled and I spent f few days in the hospital. It was on a drizzley early morning while on my way to work. I really dislike the dark tints. There is a reason they are against the law in many states.

What's too dark in tx? I got my windows tinted at the same shop where I get my truck inspected and they put 20% or 25% on the front driver and passenger. Then limo tint (5%) on the 2 back windows and the rear sliding windows. They said that was the legal limit in order to pass inspection.

I have 5% on my sidekick. Hate it. Can't see crap at night. Not even my side mirrors. Ya it looks good. But not worth it.
