What should I be cutting? Calories in general? Only fats I eat are healthy, probably the worst thing I eat is a table spoon of peanut butter in morning with oatmeal.

Today was leg day and I rode the bike for 20 mins after. Legs were on fire, absolutely burnt out.

Yeah. The concept of bulking and cutting is simple:

Maintenance calories are the amount of calories you need to eat in a day to neither gain or lose weight.

bulking: eating more calories than you normally would to gain weight (eating over maintenance). You'll gain fat and muscle most of the time. Some people can do it without gaining fat, but I can't. This is commonly done in the colder weather. IF you're like me, you should stay away from cardio when bulking, as cardio burns calories off that are supposed to be used for gaining weight.

cutting: eating less calories than you normally would, so you'll lose fat (eating under maintenance). Commonly, you'll lose a little muscle when cutting, so you've got to eat a lot of protein to save as much as possible. People generally start doing cardio and eating EXTREMELY clean while cutting, in order to lose as much fat as possible. Creatine is a no no while cutting for me b/c I retain water weight, but some people can take creatine on a cut and no gain water weight.

Some people completely disregard bulking and cutting and just eat clean and eat a little over maintenance to slowly gain 'good' weight. For me, bulking and cutting works.

Zach, I went to the store today, got a whole chicken, some celery, fruit, a half gallon of almond milk, some almond meal (for protein cookies and shakes) and a cookie sheet...51 bucks.

Not knocking your diet my friend but I don't think you're eating enough on 50 bucks a week.

Anything with almonds in it is gonna be expensive. If I'm eating those, my g/f bought them haha. I'm a tight wad. I'm telling ya man, a bag of chicken breasts, a bag of tilapia, about 6-7 cans of tuna, canned vegetables, some raw fruits and veggies, wheat bread, and a few other things get it done...along with my 2 Serious Mass shakes per day, which is about $100/month. I also usually do 1 'splurge' day a month where I get long-term stuff like peanut butter, olive oil, and other stuff that lasts a while. Also, I occasionally splurge and get stuff to make spaghetti and turkey burgers. Lastly, we go buy steaks every Sunday to grill out.

But for my day-to-day needs, about $50/week gets it done: chicken, veggies, fish, and bread is all I need!

I eat Subway at least twice a week. Love it. It's an easy 50g protein and about 1500 calories!

new PR on bench: 2x225lbs (havent' put up 225 unassisted since high school in '98)

shoulders are fried.....bent-over shoulder flys, regular shoulder flys (aka deltoid raise), front dumbbell raise, shoulder press, shrugs, and one i'm forgetting

.....if i could just get rid of my belly, i would be looking pretty good (and probably weigh about 20lbs less)

Nice job, man! But remember, without a belly, you're no longer stab-proof!
