    Yes.

Both of those shots are on the Henry's Fork. The falls are the Upper Mesa Falls.

Ahhh...gotcha. That's an awesome area - and a somewhat hidden gem. Did you drive the whole Mesa Falls Scenic Byway? And visit Big Springs?

 No...they're yellow. Maybe you need to adjust your monitor

What she said ^^, they look yellow to me. Nice pics!

On your 2-week wait to get into the park comment, I got cocked over the shutdown too. I had reservations in the Sierras that were cancelled for the closure and now the campground is closed for the winter.

    Yes.
Didn't hit the southern end of the Byway, maybe next trip. Rode my bike out to Big Springs and Johnny Sack's, something I recommend to anyone going to the area.

Yeah, it ruined a lot of peoples' vacations. September and October are when we see a lot of international tourists in Yellowstone so there were lots of disappointed people.
Do you have to stay in a campground or can you go out on your own?
Get in touch with me before your next trip :spy: I know a few backroads that you may be interested in.

In that particular area unfortunately, it's either campground or nothing as it's alongside a river flowing down through a canyon. As the land there is mostly steep vertical, there are just not many spots of flat land and what is has all been turned into FS campgrounds or is private property.

We were blessed with another family camping trip. Four families, six adults, and 5 kids total.

I like it a lot. Good value for the money. The three burner is a beast! We use it 3-4 times a week when not camping in the summer in the back yard. And for group camping it's great!

    Pros

    • Amazing heat output (30K BTU per burner)
    • Large cooking area makes cooking for large groups a breeze
    • Dynamic accessories makes it easy to BBQ, Griddle / Pan Fry / Dutch Oven, whatever you want to do with the three burners.
    • Free Standing
    • Integrated push button Piezo starter
    • Reliable
    • Sturdy
    • Portable
    • Accessory carrying case fits like a glove and is heavy duty.
    • Accessory folding shelves work great!
    • Burners are cast aluminum and therefore lighter than previous versions.
    • Will last for many, many years.
    Cons

    • Heavy
    • Bulky
    • Burners are like 3" from the grate, so small pans with plastic handles can get burnt
    • Sometimes can be difficult to use low flame in windy conditions. I use foil to block holes in stove box against the manufactures recommendations--but hey it works!
    • steel construction, so beware of weather, rust. I stripped mine bare when brand new and painted the whole thing with hi-temp BBQ paint. The factory cover does work great for protecting it on the patio while not in use. It makes it waterproof from the top down... But the con with the factory cover is that you have to remove the windscreen and all accessories and fold the shelves in. So it's just extra work...
    • Imported from China.
