Yeah it's kind of the luck of the draw with my job but I'm ok with it. I work Christmas Eve and day next year. The family just gets to have a firehouse Christmas.

My mom drove like a nascar driver when I had surgery when normally she drives like a granny. That was a painful experience.

well then you can probably go 20PSI but your tires will heat up if driving highway speeds at that pressure. wheeling 25PSI but for what your doing you can safely run 20PSI i would assume

i wheel my duratracs between 15-18psi, maybe lower for snow. places like moab or san juans where i'll be wheeling for a while, i'll keep my tires at 15 the whole time.

but i'd say 20 is as low as you should go if you're going >50mph. take corners EASY!

I wouldnt go below 25psi for the street, might make your steering feel funny lower then that.

i road around moab and san juans at 15 all week (2 trips to moab, 1 san juans) on the 34s

with the 285s i'd do 16-18. 18 was usually where i'd keep it if i knew i was taking roads too. 15-16 in snow.

and yes you need more tire :p

I've run my tires at 15psi on the freeway to Area BFE, from Moab and back. I run 10psi on the trails. There's a big difference in tires here though.

What was the name of that place in Foco (or perhaps the link to that thread) that was making the skid plates for the second gens at a discount price? Anyone remember?

I went with 25psi. It does fine & I probably could have safely gone to 20psi since I'll only be at highway speeds (55mph if I'm lucky, doubtful) for a few minutes then it's 45mph & below. The last time we drove from South Denver to Fort Collins & the bumps were miserable. This time it's less than 15min but I wanted to better prepare to take as much of the edge off as I could.
