You have bulbs. The surface mount LEDs like in this thread started in the 4th gen 4tunners. The "led bulbs" mentioned in tht chart are just that, bulb bases that have LEDs soldered to them, which means a simple twist and replace for you, rather than the desolder/resolder like the clusters in this thread

Wow..thank you very much for clearing that up for me. Needless to say...i was confused! Actually, mine sounds easier to change out. Heck...maybe something I can take on myself.

Thanks again Sir...have a good day!

yes sir, MUCH easier, especially with that chart that was posted on t4r.org. looking at a 99 or 00 limited and might get one sooner rather than later. i'll shoot you a pm if that happens, as i will most likely change out the cluster lighting asap, and let you know how it went.

Is there any way to change the color of the knobs or any other switches?

for your 05 the HVAC cannot be swapped out, search around and you will see why. Other switches and buttons can be changed through custom soldering LEDs and resistors.

Well crap. I wouldn't want amber HVAC controls and everything else another, just wouldn't look right.

Then just do the cluster, still one of my favorite mods to my truck. And the plus side, you always get to enjoy it, rather than than an exterior mods other enjoy!!

Hey guys so Josh did my cluster the other day what a great improvement over the OEM I went with cool white cluster and stuck with the OEM for the rest. I would recommend anyone in the Denver area interested in changing your cluster to go and see Josh. I am so frickin happy with the change. Thanks again Josh

    bump!

Just linked a source for cheaper LEDs than oznium, pretty much half price!

I have been doing quite a bit of clusters and such for guys out of state. ship me the cluster, etc, the required leds and a prepaid return label and i will have your cluster, etc back on its way to you the very next day in almost all cases!

I have also started doing the 4th gen 4runner (as i just purchased one) stuff, so look for a post concerning that info as well.

it may be a little late, but you could ship your cluster to me, i would swap the LEDs that same day and would have it on its way back to you the very next day. i have done this a lot. i just have the guys include a prepaid return label and its very easy.

Just ordered LEDs for this. 7 cool white and 25 blue. Wasn't sure how many total lights were back there but figured you could keep the rest. I'll let you know when they some in to set up shipping

Let me know if I need anything else or need more color variation
