My 2010 is about to roll over 30k and I drive it everywhere. This guy must have went from Florida to California monthly. I think if it's been maintained well, all service records on file, no rust and no noise. It's a good price. Try negotiating that 3 month warranty into 1 year. The dealer is going to want to move it off the lot since it has so many miles. But there are members on here with over 300k on their 05+ trucks. So you know they last. The key is to maintain maintain maintain

Doesn't sound like a bad deal if it's in mint shape and they have maintenance records. Heck I paid almost that much for my 05 over the summer with 122k but it was extremely clean, a double cab, and the service records were excellent. I looked at a few absolute toilets for a lot less with less miles. It's all about condition and how it was maintained. If all they have records for is oil changes I would walk. If it was maintained for the long haul with lots of preventative maintenance I wouldn't worry about the miles as long as it's something you intend to keep for a long time. Trying to resell a high-miles truck is difficult which is exactly why it's priced like an 05-06.

My 06 has 99,000 and I could sell it for $14-15,000. Let that sink in.

Vehicle is in great shape and has all records of service. Looks and runs great. From what I have been finding anything in great shape with 120K miles or more are selling for $14K-$16K with the TRD/V6/Auto/Extended Cab. So the dealer is asking around the going price. Edmunds and others still value the truck right around $19K probably because it's a 2010 not that old.

Apparently the guy was doing once a week highway trips to the South and back, which explains the mileage. So almost 100% highway miles.

It's a great truck, but the unknown scares me, plus side is it's in great shape and only a 3yr old truck for an 05/06 price.

I think it's a decent buy, if the service record showing that it was well cared for. The things that go wrong are well known. I'd try and get the dealer down on price, and still have at least the three month warranty. Read the warranty very carefully before you buy to make sure it covers what you think it covers. Ask to take the warranty contract home before you even make an offer. Then, if you buy it, have it very thoroughly inspected right after you buy it. I once bought a Honda Accord with 170k on it, and sold it at 210k. It was extremely reliable. Don't fear mileage, especially high mileage. Fear poor maintenance.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
One guy drove the truck and clearly he knew how to drive. I'm surprised the truck isn't gone, already. I'd be all over that.

Looks like a good truck. Price isn't bad considering it's a young truck. I think you could talk them down a little though

A one owner in great shape with maintenance records ... I wouldn't be afraid of the high mileage with that info in hand. After all, it's a Toyota.

I think it's a great buy. I have over 120k on my 2009, so I drive a bunch like this guy did. My truck is in a lot better condition than trucks with 75k less miles because honestly it's spent its entire life on a highway instead of city roads and parking lots. This truck did the same. With the service history and obvious condition it's in, he definitely took care of it and it's had an easy life. For a comparison, I'd probably start at $20,000 for my truck and take $18,000 for it. So I think your deal is more than fair.

mileage is mileage. it doesnt matter if its highway or city and price doesnt reflect one or the other. that truck has had a lot of abuse in a short amount of time. thats how i would view it

I won't consider buying anything that the average of miles driven per year is over 17,000 and that's stretching it for me. I prefer 15,000 a year or less. I'm picky as hell when it comes to buying used. I'll pick a truck or car to death to meet my strict criteria for buying it and if it doesn't meet my standards then I pass. This method had never stuck me with a pos before. Not once. Be picky as hell! You'll thank me later.

That's a lot of miles and a lot of farts on that seat but one owner and looks like he took good care of it. I'd buy it because these cared for trucks are the ones that last. Mine has 480,000 miles on it because I took care of it.

I don't agree with this at all. City driving is known to wear parts more quickly, and so is short drives to and from work/the store/where ever. All the stop and go uses the bands on the clutch plates, highway miles have none of that. Your catalytic converter only does what it should once it gets to a certain temperature, regular highway miles keep it cleaned out. I think it's a fair deal for the truck,as long as the maintenance records reflect that it was well cared for.
