So I spent the weekend completing the rear diff breather relocate (put it in the driver's side bed puka), installing the bracket I made for my CB install (when I get around to it), horn relocate, and my favorite mod thus far--a Satoshi grill. No write-ups because they already exist all over TW, but I have to give credit to Tacoma BC for his write-up on the grill. Now on to the pics:

    Satoshi:

Pulled the spare tire and hoist:

In the future, I plan to install my on-board air (compressor and tank) in this location--another gem of an idea I found here on TW.

Next up, is the foglight anytime mod and map with dome light mod. Then save up money for the rest of the mods and additions I have in mind.

Pulling that spare and hoist created a ton of room. I like your plan there.
Are you doing a rear bumper tire carrier? When you get a spare that is...

Howd you get thosd bolts out of the hoist. I tried to take mine off once and gave up. Seemed more work than gain... I just zip tied the chain up.

Sat under the truck with a 12mm wrench and patience. I imagine that if the truck was older it would be more of a PITA. Heat works well too for getting stuck bolts.

Nope the third one pissed me off enough that I considered removing the bed. But just walked away for a bit and put the antenna bracket on.

Speaking of antenna brackets...grind some paint off of the two mounting holes for the hood and around the cb hole...you will have horrible SWR...ask me how I know...I ground till I saw metal and that still wasn't enough. Lots of contact needed for that area.

Will do! Right now they are just "installed" so I don't misplace them. Trying to figure out where and what radio I want; spent a lot of time surfing pics of various install locations. Each has advantages and disadvantages, but the reality is I'm just being indecisive.

You have to run a fire ring with that mount...

I recommend a 4 or 5 foot top loaded fiberglass antenna. I like my cobra 75 but it's not for everyone.

The 75 or the 19 are the two I've narrowed down to.

I like my 75...in the glove box when I don't need it and hangs from my mirror when I want. I use the weather feature often...

I score a really nice antenna from a shop in Tennessee that has out performed everything else I have ever used. Let me see if I can find the brand but it isn't name brand...

What could possibly be taking shape from this chunk of DH36 Steel?

The center section is fabbed and the wings are templated.

Why is there no plate covering the bottom of the bumper?
