    wow regular fucking einstein here!

Im more concerned about what those wires are hooked up to, I dont want to send to many volts and blow the bulb, So let me rephase.

WHATS A SAFE WAY TO CONNECT THE WIRES FROM MY LIGHTS SO THAT IM NOT OVERPOWERING THE BULBS AND POTENTIALLY CAUSING THEM TO BLOW OUT?

My guess is car battery but im not sure so please all knowing, Inform me of the correct voltage for HIDs :D

Both of those sound ghetto and dangerous... I feel like i should just go to high county 4x4 and having them wire them up for me.

anything made for a car accessory is good for 9-18v usually. your truck runs at 12v not running and 14.1v running.

just connect them to your battery. HIDs actually need 3000-9000v to start. Lucky for you, you have this thing called a Ballast that is basically a transformer and does that for you.

So i can hook the wires right up to the terminals or maybe just hook up grounds first and then flick them on and off with the power wire on the positive terminal? Would that cause any problems? I just need to get a night shot of all four lights on.

Thank you for a helpful response!

why do you need a night shot??

You should never "flick" HIDs on and off. HIDs take about 5-15 seconds to warm up to full intensity. Flicking them on and off is very hard on the bulbs and decreases their life.

Yes..just hook them up to the positive and negative terminal on the battery. That is..the ballasts..

Take it easy man. I think Monte pretty much summed it up. I'm sure he could go into more detail but, a ballast like he said is almost like atransformer for HIDs. With no Ballast no worky

im chill just sick of getting disrespectful answers from out of nowhere. If you dont have something to help the question then just move on... Why try to start shit?

Where does the ballast come into play? In between the wires of the light and the battery connection? Oh fuck now i remember... Goddamn it i didnt grab it off the old truck... Well fuck.
