I'd appreciate any advise on a recent vibration problem with my 2013 Tacoma Limited. It has 2200 miles and I just started to experience a mild vibration in the steering wheel during acceleration this morning on the interstate for about six miles. Tonight I had the same vibration that was much worse while getting on the interstate. I decided reduce my speed from 65 to 55 MPH and the vibration disappeared. I had a smooth ride all the way home. Any thoughts?

First thing I would do is check tire pressure.

Factory wheels and tires? Maybe threw a weight?

They are the factory 18" wheels with Bridgestone tires. I also checked the tire pressures and they are at the recommended pressure. I'll try taking it to a tire center first and have the balance checked before spending hours waiting at the Toyota service center.

I have a consistant vibration in my 2013 between 70km/h and 80km/h. However, I can't tell if it's from the new wheels/tires I just put on (265-75-16 Duratrac's) or not...

I've had the wheels re-balanced once, but the tire shop originally said they may need to road balance them rather than just balance them on the machine. What's the difference??

My virbration isn't side to side but almost more up and down. Usually, the steering wheel shakes slightly from side to side when a tire is out of balance. However, with mine, it's almost like there is a flat spot in the tires... Anyway, the vibration is more up and down if that makes any sense at all??
