Well it looks like I should have bought sliders when I had the chance.

Took the limo into an apple orchard and had to make a hard right hand turn through a stone wall. Clipped a rock that was hidden by brush.

Thanks. Had a quartering towards me shot. Tool out near side lung, liver and exited the guts. Lost the blood trail last night.

Went back this am, found her 80 yards from where I lost blood. Dragged her a good 1/4 mile back to the truck. Ran home, hung her the garage, showered and still made it to work for 8.15

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I think I'll be good on these tires, but I know if I go a little bigger I'll start having some rub.

    :puke:

    Look forward to it!

Hey, thanks again for the rear tail lights. Stealership was talking about almost $400.

I'd love to swap out 3rd's, but I am strapped for the winter. Time to finish up everything I've already purchased.

Not like you need them.... Lol

And it's cool, cause I'm coating them with the same stuff I put on my frame, so I'll blend it all together.

I can't wait to do my frame rails. I need an angle grinder to make shit way easier

Hey, they have the very important job of protecting the truck from door dings! And Kendra likes having them as a step, especially when trying get a car seat in and out.

I bought a Ryobi angle grinder a while back and, for the money, it actually does really well. I think it was like $35 at the time and it's performed pretty well so far. One of those with those wire cup things makes rust removal a lot quicker!

I was using my dewalt drill with wire cups but it seems like nothing was being done. I'll probably put an actual grinding wheel on it to take it down to shiny steel.

What are you coating the frame with? If you're spending the time to get down to bare metal, you might want to go with something like POR15. That stuff is tough as nails but is a bitch to prep for but it sounds like you're already doing the correct amount of prep.

Yeah I'm using rustoleum rust reformer. Then self etching primer. Then bondo rubberized undercoating.

Fuck POR15. Too expensive and too temperamental for me. Too many variables. Especially if I'm dragging my frame on shit sometimes. I'd rather just touch it up

I'm curious to see how yours holds up. I'm using a Rustoleum product also, but not the same one. It had rust in the title though, has to be good, right :notsure:

Mike, i think it was you a while back who said the autozone cmax pads/ rotors were working well for you. I swapped my warped rotors and pads (even though the pads had probably 80% left) for that combo along with new calipers since the pins were seized. So far they are performing really well. I was worried the ceramics would squeal, but i bedded them last night and they make no noise. pretty pleased so far.

Yeah, that was me. I rotated my tires yesterday and I still have a ton of life left in both the pads and rotors. I have just under 30k miles on them so far and they're still quiet and operating smoothly, dust isn't bad with them either.

Amen, I'm hoping by the next time this frame needs to be dealt with, it'll be someone else's problem. I just need a couple more years out of it!
