Pretty nice race today. I have to admit Martinsville is a favorite track of mine. Not a fan of the midsized tracks. I like the superspeedways, and the short tracks. I was also pleasantly impressed with Danica. She ran really strong today as well. Kept herself out of some of the wrecks and was able to climb as high as 9th. Kept some strong racing and was able to keep her car going well. Congrats to Jeff. I'm glad a team mate of Jr and Jimmie won.

You gotta admit though that Hendrick created a great team with Jimmie. And Jimmie has some serious skill.

Looking forward to this Texas race weekend. A lot of stories to follow, who will wreck who and get payback

Did anyone catch Keselowski bitching about the 48 again after the race? I thought it was fitting when he accused Hendrick teams of cheating last year due to the cars running skewed and then they get caught actually cheating. HMS was within the rules and Brad said his team and penske would never cheat  After that he hasn't done shit

I was rather disappointed Gordon crashed at Texas. Oh well, I'm just glad he was able to get another win, he's had some great showings ruined by bad luck the past few seasons.

Unrelated note: does anyone think Pearson or Petty are going to be caught in terms of win numbers? I don't think so. Gordon is going to get close, but I don't see him racking up 17 wins between now and retirement, not at this point in his career.

Johnson is going to get close too, but his career is mimicing Gordon's in the 90's, so there's a drop coming up.

And no one is going to catch Petty, not with the current amount of races.

No, no one will catch Petty. Back when he was racking up all his wins, they were running 2-3 races a week. http://espn.go.com/racing/schedule/_/year/1967

Exactly. You can't even really try to compare here, since they do not race as many races each year as they did back then. Petty's records will stand, but I do think one record has a good chance of being broken, and that is the most cup titles. Petty has 7, Dale Sr has 7, and Jimmie has 5. With Jimmie having many more years left in his career, he has a real shot at getting 8 or more championships.

Almost as much as people hate Kyle! lol. Of course I have been to a lot of races in the past few years, and Kyle still gets the loudest boo. I hear almost none for Jimmie.
