    MTRs! What I'm getting!

Actually honestly look at the Hanook rto3 mud tires. Pretty cheap actually. Lots of good reviews. LT guys have started running them.

Yea they aren't aggressive at all. Better all around tire though. More of an aggressive all terrain. But good price and last a long time.

Don't believe me? haha Marc..back me up on Shoshone..

But really..i just like wide tires..looks way better. Our group used to fight extensivly on fat vs skinny to the point we did the math..the contact patterns are the same..just different shapes. Both are rectangles but skinnies run long ways and wides run width ways. Which leads to different handling characteristics..but the same amount of tire touches the ground.

I have also been in situation with skinny and fats..and never have i seen any major advantages vs disadvantages..and that includes 6' snow drifts..

Far as im concerned..just a taste preference really.

You people and your wide tires:rolleyes: Mine did just fine on the ice last winter. Just as good as my snow rated michelins anyway. The only caveat, is my michelins stayed at 32 psi all winter and I ran my KM2's at 20 psi all winter. Low psi seems to add a lot of traction on ice.

I just saw this and I disagree with the wide part. I can do (and do do) the same thing with my skinny tires. Just not at 10 psi (I would probably break/dent a wheel) but at 20 psi my ride is smooth as shit.

Yea never enough ice and snow really in powell to justify low pis..plus usally high driving a lot too. well..honestly..i didn't really drive Frankenstein at all much last winter as a dd..was nice.
