    Hey all,

I'm new to this site and wanted to ask all you veterans out there for your opinions.

I want to install a suspension lift to my 2012 Tacoma and was thinking to go for a either 3" or 4" kit.

Outlaw-Offroad, a local shop, quoted me at about $2300 for a BDS 4" lift kit with labor and all.
    http://www.outlawoffroad.com/191517/72/508/0/lift-kits-bds.html

Is this brand a reliable one and is this a reasonable price? I currently have on 265/75/R16 size tires, I think that's equivalent to 33". With a 4" lift would the truck look a little out of proportion with the current tire size?

    Thanks again!

Bilstein 5100 shocks and Eibach springs in the front and an AAL in the rear. I just saved you about $1800.

EDIT: also, there are literally thousands of this exact question on this website. Use the search bar, my friend. Lastly, welcome to TW

That's going to be a drop bracket lift, anything over a 3 inch will normally be drop bracket. You can do a true suspension lift anywhere from 0-3 inches if your 4x4 if you're a prerunner you have other options suck as spindle lifts.

Use the search function, there are literally thousands of threads with your exact question already.

Also 265/75/16 is a 32 inch tire and it will look very small if you go the 4 inch lift route.

I have a 3" Pro Comp lift and am running 295/70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers with a 4.5 offset wheel. Had to trim a little bit of my inter fender and do a CMC but my lift only cost $340 total installed.

What they said.....but plus, may I add THIS to help your research. Look at these 2012's, see what other owners have done to trucks like yours (new front end design started 2012). When you find a lift and wheel/tire combo that you like, send the owner a PM and ask them about their set up. Most members add the details to their post or signature, but there are still others who won't provide that info unless asked. Nonetheless, they are still pretty helpful and willing to share their experience. Good luck, enjoy and get ready, you'll soon be addicted. Oh, and when you've got her all built, PLEASE fill out your vehicles profile information. :)

How is the ride on your Pro Comp lift, can you feel every bump on the road?

I find the Procomp lift (the legit coil over version) to be just a bit stiffer than the TRD sports suspension, rides better than my old Fabtech did though.
