There is the million dollar question. I've been looking at just about everything. As long as its something I halfway like and gives me the opportunity for upward movement I'll take a crack at it. As weird as it sounds....... REI came up as an option recently because they have a pretty good benefits package and are supposedly one of the best companies to work for

    How'd the climbing gig go?

haha me too man! questioning my audio choice..get a degree probably no matter what...but idk..

REI! that would be cool. I applied there too..nothing back..i have heard it is a good company to work for too actually. Be kinda cool.

I interviewed on friday..find out this week if i got it or not..hope so..only pays minimum wage though  but lots of hours are available and ill love having something to do and money. Should be able to make enough to pay rent and food at least and maybe some extra for gears in the spring..Really..anything at this point..haha

hope you get it man. it would be a good gig to have during school though even if it only pays min wage.

i saw you talking about questioning the audio thing recently. my biggest problem is trying to find a good balance of something i want to do vs something i love doing now. i feel like if i get a job doing something i love now i'll end up no longer loving it because it's something i do for work, but that's just me.

college has never really been for me though. i took a few classes but it just doesn't suit me. i would be perfectly content finding a company that i somewhat enjoy working for and working my way up the chain, but that is easier said than done.

i feel you man. Im getting sick of school myself. Just ready to move on in life really.

But i know what you mean..idk if you love it and your doing it all the time..as long is it never becomes robotic, i think you'll always love it still. But i get what your saying. You don't want to wake up one day and be like..damn..i hate this..haha but..work is work. Long as the enviroment is good i think everyone can have fun at their job. My dad is a good example. Im sure he never thought he would make it as far as he has in his company as he is. And he really does enjoy it and loves the guys he works with. Makes good money and has half the year off...but always a sacrifice. Missed like most events or what not that involved my sibling and myself. and i know by the end of a 2week shift he is ready to go home no doubt. But he still enjoys it.

Craig(homertaco) is a good example too i think. He is like a big manager or something of like a region for Homedepot haha but he likes it. Pretty succsessful and works hard.

Life choices...sucks! haha shit'll buff out though

yeah, were basically on the same page. i'm just tired of not having a visible future with something i enjoy.

your dad and craig i feel are good examples of the basic principle of what i'm trying to figure out right now. your career doesn't have to be glamourous but if you enjoy it and get up in the morning without saying "i hate my job" or "i don't want to go to work today" then who cares where you work.

hahaha no. i could never be a military officer.

i joked about running for office a few times under the "i'm not an idiot" party. i doubt i would make many friends there either. i tend to tell people when they're being a self serving idiot and i usually say it very candidly while proceeding to swear like a sailor
