I thought they were all made in Texas? The engines came from Japan and beds from Mexico...

But my '14 has a decal on driver's b-pillar that says 'Toyota Motors de Baja California' and "Made in Mexico". Decal also shows date of manufacture, VIN and axle weights... VIN starts with a '3'.

    thanks

You answered your own question. Your truck is assembled in Baja California, which is a state in Mexico. The plant makes a portion of the double cab Tacomas sold in North America, and all the beds.

Engine is made in Alabama: http://www.toyotainaction.com/us/al/story/toyota-motor-manufacturing-alabama-inc-tmmal

    Thanks.

I had read somewhere (I believe it's on wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Tacoma) that *ALL* Tacoma production had moved to Texas as of 2010. Obviously that's not accurate, just CA production moved.

    Thanks for the quick response.
