You'd be cutting the wrong part of the frame off..so you'd also need a custom drive shaft made as you'd need the axle moved forward a foot..does not seem worth it to me.

Have seen a double cab go on i think it was a single cab frame. Rear tires were almost at the cab haha was on TTORA.

also..everyone is getting snow..and we get rain rain rain rain...wtf..

Blackdawg covered it. One does not simply saws all a 5 foot bed onto an xtra cab.

thats a short cab frame though..totally differen process and idea..that would be much more doable then cutting up and making your own..probably cheaper in the long run and much simpler.

I never said it can't be done. Anything can be done. You made it sound like it was a quick weekend job. It's not.

Don't think so..its the same idea..shortening the wheel base.

Difference being a lot of custom work for both..but one is just a cab swap really and the other is a custom frame, rear leafs, drive shaft and more really if you want OEM bed

But really..i can tell you that the extended cab/double cab frame has a much more ideal wheel base as it is..if your wanting to not drage shit so much..bob the bed.
