:jellydance: I want to go play in the snow sooo bad.

Is there anyone in the Seattle/Bothell area that could help me do a Cab Mount Chop? I already have the steel but I don't have a welder or anyone to help me. I would like to do it soon but not in a HUGE rush or anything.

A couple of changes for the truck - last Friday I added a BedSlide. I am old and tired of crawling in and out of the bed so I had been doing some research and really do like this!!

Also - SeattleCoug motivated me to take advantage of a day off and drive up to find some snow. Toted the camera along and posting a couple of shots. Hoping this is the first of many photo filled snowy days....and maybe nights...campfires in the snow????

Stay safe and thanks for the motivation!!!!

That slide is nice. If I go with a canopy, something like that would be very helpful!

Do you know what size T-slot nuts? I was also looking at the Freight Car Bolts (square head). They show the size of the threads but they don't describe the size of the head.

    Edit: made no sense

    Art -

Thanks!! I am finding that I like it more and more....have seen them in contractor's trucks but who cares what I put on it --- stack it with zombies!! I think it is a good idea for camping/recovery stuff -- and especially that cooler that I got tired of lifting and dragging....

    Take care!!

YES!! Feel very good about ANY property recovery in a burglary -- they usually have the lowest clearance rates of any crime -- that they made arrests AND recovered his property is great!! Best that they hadn't pawned it yet!!

    Rare & good fortune indeed!!!!

    Product Description :

    Type : Black Oxide
    Part # 41406

I have heard the Grizzly ones are too tall, and you need to grind down the face so it doesn't stick out past the rail edge. Not 100%, just heard that through the grapevine.

Is there any specific reason that you guys decided to go with the T-slot nut versus a Square head bolt. I can see benefits for either. I could see using a squre head bolt to hold a highlift jack but a t-slot nut for other mounting options. I am just curious.

I went with them because they fit so nicely and were easy to sit on my couch and order lol

Nice, good to know. Don't remember where I read that they were too tall, Bed Rails Attachment thread maybe?

Wonder if they were a bad batch or different distributor.

I used them on all my mounts because my tools/hi-lift sit below the rail, and I wanted the rail bolts to sit flush. They are more versatile than a bolt sticking out, IMO.

HMM. Just went and re-read and see what you're talking about. I only am using 2 right now to hold my CB antenna mount but will be installing more this weekend. I'll report back with my findings. TW has been too good to me to let anyone down! lol

On topic with that: Benson X has answered every question I've asked him in any of his threads and others very quickly and in a way that is easily understood. Seems like a very stand up individual! Hope to make a westward trip someday and wheel with ya!

If we're thinking of the same washout, I rode my dirtbike around it a couple years ago to see what the trail was like further up. It's totally impassable by truck, it's so overgrown from not being used. Pretty disappointing really, because you used to be able to drive the roads off 38 for days.
