Thanks bud, been putting a ton of work into the rack. Its my first time ever working with steel so its not a bad 1st project..

And yea, the body shop has been working on the truck nonstop since Monday morning. That flat rate saved my ass

Debadged and painted, plasti-dip bumper , Sock monkey decals, tool box, K&N cold air intake, flag holder/fishing pole holder, Satoshi, magnaflow 40 series, spidertrax wheel spacers, map lights, led reverse lights, led dash assembly lights, roof top LED bar
Im still debating on either a roof rack or bed track, im leaning more towards roof rack because i will have all my bed space, i can put my spare up there where ours out of the way, and i can mount lights

Yea for sure man that's sick. I went with the bed rack cause it's removable. I just take it off when I want the bed. Besides, I didn't want to drill holes in my roof  I went ahead and mounted lights on the rack to light up around the truck and the bed. The tire is mounted on the rack or just throw it under the truck if I'm not using the rack. Do you know how to weld or work with steel?

Ya the drilling holes in the roof is still what is making me question it but it would look pretty badass though! I also have a couple of other thoughts on mounting the tire but that will come later. Also yes I know a little about welding, what are you wondering?

Bro, if you know about welding, then you should build all your own shit! I just learned how to weld on this rack, not a pro but way cheaper then paying a ton of cash to someone else for a rack or something. Besides, if ya make your own stuff, you can customize things to your liking.

Ya that's the only reason I got into welding haha well that and fixing our farm equipment but I would much rather build than buy anyways I would rather claim it as mine and my own idea that to say I had someone else put their time and creativity into it, I love building stuff anyways

And no I'm not in SoCal, I wish I was though because there are a lot of cool members out there and plenty to do

Yeah man, that's cool. You should make a build thread. If you got a welder and lots of time, I bet you could make tons of cool stuff.

Ive put in at least 50 hours of work into the rack, frame, paint, fab work. As I have said before, its my first time working with metal and welding and doing fab work. I owe a huge thanks to one of my friends that came over and helped me weld for countless hours. Alright, here we go.

    The bed rack.

    rack_zpsf4ff6492_48f7d47359e8edd21df21523795398eac8549897.jpg

After finding out my frame was twisted, I took it to the frame shop and had it straightened. Also, took a lot of advice from fellow members to reinforce the frame. And how to do it.

Drawing out the reinforcement plates for the frame.
    makingframesupport_zps38d069d2_e2885d6fe9e4cbb606f30803bacc76754d45d1ff.jpg

    One of the plates
    framesupport_zps8db574d0_11a0cd984b581193311993b8738612ddc356eae6.jpg

    tacked on.
    framesupportattch_zpsfccc2e38_17d59a6240c3aa415862a4ce284f409d828e9249.jpg

    working... Also repainted the bedrails.
    lotsofwork_zpsa0527bb7_e33ec846c9c1a547211ea52f50000c237d014318.jpg

Reinforced, and painted. Looks pretty good in my opinion. Instead of going 12"-18" for the plate, I went ahead and did overkill on a 22" plate. Better be safe then sorry.

Plasti-dipped the lower part of the bumper and the grill both flat black. My first time using plastidip, I like how it turned out.
    grillandbumper_zps72b50b65_6749bad68765a9b2b9a29f9526a14daafe2da366.jpg

Repainted the wheels. (before and after)

I also ran the cable for the CB radio antenna. I had it sticking through the rear window. I ran it under the carpet through the bottom of the cab to the bed. It worked pretty good. Still gotta run the electrical for the lights on the rack to the switch and stuff.

This is how it stands now.

Looks really good, i wouldn't want the bed rack over the cab but idk how else you see out the rear window if it was lower haha, your frame reinforcements came out nice too did you copy a design off the internet our did a member refer you to that design?

I did both. I went to an offroad shop and asked what they would do, and I also copied product that someone else was selling for 3/10 of their price. The rack ended up a bit higher then what I was expecting. But it's okay, I like it. I cod always end up cutting it shorter and making different angles.

Ya sure could, did you end up using 3/16ths for the frame reinforcements?

You might want to consider adding a second frame plate farther forward on the frame (particularly on the passenger side) You should have a reinforcement cover the area wear the passenger side upper shock mount is located. That is the area susceptible to bending.

Here's a shot or two of my frame plates to give you an idea. I did two peice plates rather than one long one.
